Canada Post Strike 2018

Nov 25/18

Until now we’ve believed that rotating strikes meant a delay of only a few days for some parcels and that orders would arrive in time for Christmas.  With the news that there is a growing backlog of parcels we’re becoming more concerned.  We ship exclusively with Canada post and couriering parcels with other companies, at their regular rates, isn’t feasible for us with our Canadian made garments.

If you live in the Golden Triangle (Guelph-Kitchener/Waterloo-Cambridge) or between Owen Sound and Sarnia, you might find your parcel delivered to your door by a real live elf. We’ve approached the St. Jacobs market about allowing us to set up outside Saturday Dec 1 so people can pick up their parcels or buy from the selection we’ll have on hand. If you happen to have an account with a courier we’ll be happy to send your order with that company.  Otherwise we’re still crossing our fingers and shipping with Canada Post.

Hard working elves are everywhere. Thanks to them we are proud to say that many of our off-cuts never make it to the cutting room floor.  The off-cuts are whisked away by good-hearted, industrious people who breathe new life into them by creating dolls, diapers, menstrual pads, quilts and comforters, to name a few.  With the help of equally hard working "Distribution Elves", these useful, cozy items find their way around the world to where they are needed most.
We’d like to introduce you to some of these unsung heroes.
